Move into the 2 wheel world in 1988 when he got a mechanics job at Donelson's. Shortly after he bought a 78 1/2 Triumph 750 Bonneville. Naturally the next step is road racing! In 89, he picked up a used RZ350 and prepped it for the track. Got involved with the MCRA in 1990 and learned the rules of the track (old GIR track configuration).

    At his first race at Road Atlanta, he came across a FZR400 for sale at the track...SOLD! Back then he was hanging around with Doug Stegman and crew from Cycle Works. In 91 swapped the 400 motor for a 600 in his quest for more speed. Yeah Baby! During the next few years Dion snagged a few 2nd's and a couple of 3rd's. In 95 had to give up racing and bought a house. Couldn't part with the Fizzer so he converted it back to the street.
