WE NEED CORNER WORKERS FOR OUR EVENTS!

The best seat in the house isn't in the front row, it is working a corner at one of our events! It is the next best thing to being on the track yourself. As with any track event, there must be corner workers to make the event a success.

A note from Gordon Spieckerman:

"Years ago (many), 18 I think, someone gave me that opportunity by asking me to become a corner marshall for the MCRA (thanks Bob). Guess I got hooked, because I've been doing it ever since.
If you are a race fan, you can be a spectator or a participant. Spectators pay to see races. As a corner marshall, you get paid. Spectators pay for "track food". We will "wine and dine" you with our great lunches, an occasional BBQ and party. These are famous throughout the road race community. Working a motorcycle road race is not for everyone, but if you enjoy the beauty, the speed, and the excitement, it is the best seat in the house."

Now here is your opportunity.

The MCRA's corner marshall school will be held several times throughout the season generally at the infield of Gateway International Raceway. Dates and times can be viewed on the MCRA Forum. The school will give you the basics of how to work the track safely while being within feet of the track, while also taking you out to work a "live" track. This is where a race fan is supposed to be, "up close and personal". The alternative is "track food".
